How to Tackle Evening Cravings
Many people tend to experience evening cravings. Be certain to be mindful about munching on snacks with out nutritional value. Instead, select a nutritious snack such as fruit, vegetables or low-fat cheese. Drinking beverages such as decaf coffee, herbal tea, water or crystal light can make you feel full. If you are thinking about food, detour your mind into enjoyable activities that you can do. Getting on the internet is something that I do to distract myself from eating late at night. Talking to friends or reading is another way to handle this temptation. Try not to include fun activities with food such as eating and watching T.V. at the same time.
Choosing to consistently purchase nutritious and balanced food for your household is the best way to maintain healthy cravings. Establishing an evening ritual of not eating with-in two hours of going to bed is highly essential to dropping weight. Do your absolute best! Un-doing bad habits take time and effort! Start today!!

Effective Ways to Stay Diet Strong
1. Eat Breakfast:
What a fabulous way to start your day by eating a nourishing breakfast, regularly. Some people do not feel like eating in the AM, however that is not a good idea. By grabbing a morning meal can be extremely beneficial for you. Having a bite to eat in the morning causes your metabolism to speed up. Be certain to include protein and healthy carbs such as fruit.
2. Include a Variety of Food:
Incorporating a healthy variety of delicious food is necessary for weight loss. Food such as protein, fruit, vegetables, nuts and fiber containing food is a nutritious and balanced meal combination. Avoiding processed foods is important for a healthy weight drop. I always include a special treat for myself such as Greek yogurt.
3. Make Your Weight Loss Public:
The advantages of letting others know about my weight loss success story helps me to stay focused and grounded. When others know or recognize that I have lost weight they tend to offer encouragement and support. The pressure is uplifting and continues to make me feel determined. Also, it is very gratifying when people ask me for advice. Knowing that I can help others is a wonderful feeling.

How to Turn Negative Thoughts into a Healthy, Positive Mindset
It can often happen that you find yourself in a negative mindset characterized by over-generalization. For instance, if you are experiencing low energy you may tell yourself that you are going nowhere. In fact, that is an exaggeration coming from feelings of frustration. The first step is to recognize that you are over reacting. The second step is to formulate a more realistic appraisal of what is happening. You might ask yourself the question, “Am I really getting nowhere or am I frustrated today?” When you learn to create a positive mindset, you start to attract more positivity. By creating a positive, healthy attitude, you are able to dream big, achieve your goals and get what you truly want out of life.
Counter your negative thoughts with more commonsense ideas. For example, a realistic thought would be I feel low energy because I did not eat breakfast in the morning. However, tomorrow is a new day. The truth of the matter is you are not going to feel the same way everyday. There will be good days and mediocre days. Bring to mind the things that you have accomplished to this point. Always keep in mind what your goals are. One of the most rewarding things I have learned on my journey towards fitness is that by changing the way I think about myself, all dreams are possible. Often times, we can push through our limits if we have clear and strong goals. The pay-off is worth it!!

When Your Eating is Out of Control
I use to eat and eat and eat and would think that food would make me feel better. In reality the food choices I was making was going to kill me if I did not stop and turn my life around. As I was eating I felt very content, fulfilled and satisfied, but when I was done I felt lethargic, bloated and guilty. The aftermath of feeling sick propelled me to want to change my behavior. Wanting to feel good out weighed the pleasures of eating.
The first step is to recognize that you are eating excessively. When you eat non-stop, you are no longer enjoying the food, but are still searching more inner comfort and peace. Another feature of excessive eating is ruminating about food to the point that you lose track of what is important in your life. Many times I would eat by myself so that others could not see what I was eating because I was ashamed of myself. When you can honestly weigh the pros and cons of your eating habits you are beginning to come to grips with excessive eating. Enjoy your day, Weight Cliquers!

When You Change- Loved Ones Change
Reaching your weight loss goal is a fabulous accomplishment. With any change there can be both negative and positive consequences. Sometimes loved ones can have a mixed response to your weight loss. For instance, a friend can become envious and could possibly change the way they relate to you. People in general may interact with you in a different way. This may or may not stretch your comfort level. For example, a introverted person may feel some stress from getting attention.
When you have a noticeable change, others may change in how they experience you. Roles may also vary. If someone was very worried about your health and you become healthier as a result of your weight loss they may lose that role as a comfort person. When the status quo is up ended it helps you recognize what is going on. These changes can be managed if we are aware of them and keep them in perspective.

Educating Yourself to Understand What Your Body Needs
Research was crucial with educating and developing myself with what my body needs in order to lose weight. I spoke to professionals, various nutritionists and a bariatric surgeon who taught me important facts about metabolism and how foods tend to increase it. My dietician was very helpful and informative with presenting multiple options to learn how to review food labels, and that has been instrumental with my weight loss.
It is equally important to pay attention to your own internal assessment of what works best for you. Self knowledge is the key to advancement. In my own experience, I discovered that I can not eat carbohydrates such as pasta, bread and candy, because it just makes me crave more. I also know that I am a person that likes to plan ahead. I buy prepared food at Whole Foods which is a big help. Everyone needs to formulate their own individualized plan which will attribute to great weight loss success!

Surrounding Yourself With Positive People
Be certain to think of the supportive and potentially supportive people in your life, because they are key to help keep you on track. For instance, a person who is positive, encouraging and supportive will take you and your weight loss program seriously. They will not encourage you to “cheat.” Looking back, some examples of unhealthy influences is a friend saying you look great when you know you don’t or someone complimenting you when you are at your heaviest and encouraging you to eat.
The quality and valuable support that I received was people taking there time out to talk with me, offer suggestions and being motivational. A healthy persons influence would want what is best for you. For me, special guidance from professionals and dieticians is especially important. WEIGHT CLIQUERS, do your best to select a healthy support system in your life. You have the ability to pick and choose the positive influences who are on your side of the team! You deserve to be a success! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day.
